Rosemary was born in Hertfordshire, England, and read English at Hertford College, Oxford. Since then she has lived in Oxford UK, Nottingham UK, Berkshire UK , Santa Cruz, California and part-time in Sevilla, Spain. She likes history, paintings, stately homes, churches, murder mysteries, gardens, movies, maps and numbers.

Her favorite reading genre, if she's forced to choose, is literary fiction.
​
She is working on a new novel under a working title of Crocus Fields, the story of three women living in different time periods.
